Deconstructing/Reconstructing Humpty Dumpty
Part 2 of 2
In part one of this article we discussed what Humpty Dumpty (HD) must do if he is to change his timeless self-destructive pattern.

In Part 2 we concern ourselves with just how he is to undertake and accomplish this change.

So long as we discuss HD’s treatment we rest on safe solid ground. If he seeks medical help there is little or no mystery. His “ding” or dent or crack will be dealt with much the same way no matter where he seeks help. It is called “standard of care”, and while it does not assure the success of the treatment it does guarantee freedom from liability in the event it fails. After all, even if it doesn’t work, it’s what everyone else would do. I mean, you can’t sue everybody!

So much for treatment.

If, on the other hand, HD wishes to remove the vulnerability, the weakness, the potential fault lines in himself as well as in all those Humptys waiting in the wings, he must leave the sure-footed certainty of treatment and venture into the ambiguous and undefined uncertainty of healing, which only occur in his consciousness.

If he wishes to change his pre-ordained destiny for shattering, he must do so in the world of spirituality. He must erase his past to change both his present and his future. He must alter his soul.

Now, this be can be done. Some (myself included) might say, “this must be done”. The difficulty is there is no owner’s manual on how to do it. In fact, there isn’t even a personal owner’s manual for you. Neither is there a license or qualifying board for “change practitioners”. There can’t be. Many may offer HD advise, once again, for better or for worse; but, only HD knows what he needs, and it’s probable that he doesn’t even know that he knows it.

For each of us, you me and HD there is a fundamental consciousness. We refer to it as the “higher self” and it knows absolutely everything about us. Even if you don’t know about it, it knows about you. In fact, ultimately it is all that will be you.

Well, just what shall we call our unawareness of what the “higher self” knows? Do we call it our” lower self”? I don’t think so. That, we call our “unconscious self” and the sooner we get rid of it the better because, I believe, it is the destiny of each of us to achieve total, quantum consciousness. In fact, many (myself included) believe that is our purpose on the planet and in the universe.

Moving on, how do we make the transition from unconsciousness to consciousness? We ask for help and we ask whomever we feel can offer the help we need. Someone in hospice may turn to a puppy or a kitten, never knowing he had even asked for help and been amazed at the help he had received after-the-fact. (Do you believe unconditional love has the power to heal?)

Some may be guided to healers with less fur and better credentials, like the head of a church or perhaps a certified “headshrinker”.

Ultimately I suspect that the greatest issue is not who you ask for help, but simply that you ask. Help is available everywhere. The question is, are you available to receive that help?

So often, for us to recognize a need for help it must be a desperate last-minute plea, like HD before the “splat”.

The reality is, for each of us the signs of our unconsciousness; our incompletion and our unresolved state are always evident. How do you live your life? Do you approach life with anger or fear? Are you able to give and receive love? Do you have the compassion that comes with the recognition that we are all in this together? Do you deal with life as it is or darkly, through the veneer of negative memories and unresolved emotions?

Ultimately, it comes down to this: Healing is not at all difficult. There are only two obstacles. They are acknowledging your need for healing and knowing and believing with all your heart and soul and mind that you can, and must heal yourself.
